We also celebrated our 1 year anniversary last weekend. Lee had to work that morning, I cleaned house while he was at work. Then when he got home he took a nap. After that he showered & packed. We took Shelby out to DeDe & Brian's as they were nice enough to watch her once again. After that we checked into the hotel. After checking in we went to supper at Seven Seas. It was a little weird cuz we sat at the exact same table & had the same waitress we had the last time we were there. I had Prime Rib while Lee had SouthAmerican Style steak. Our meals were delicious as always. After we finished eating we headed back to Bismarck & stopped at a liquor store to get a bottle of champagne. We went back to the hotel (Country Inn Suites) and filled the jacuzzi tub. Sat in there & drank a little bubbly. I was asleep by 10pm. I really wanted to & tried to stay awake but just couldn't do it. I think it was a combination of the champagne & relaxing jacuzzi. Sunday morning we got up around 10pm and went out for breakfast at Minervas. After eating a good breakfast buffet we headed out to pickup Shelby. I guess Shelby was not liking Brian. Everytime she seen him she would growl & bark at him. Don't know what was going on with her? She has been around him plenty. We stopped at Menards on the way back into town to pick up some grass seed. So that is what we did that afternoon. I made supper that evening & went to bed at my usual 10 pm time.
I had every intention of bringing the camera with us to take a picture of us but forgot both Saturday & Monday when we went out for Monday night football at Space Aliens. That was a good time. Had a few friends & co-workers join us. When we got home from there around 9pm we cut into out cake top & lit our unity candle, as Monday we our official wedding anniversary. Lee really liked the cake, I thought it was ok but better than I thought it would be. I have an issue with eating frozen leftovers so Lee has been eating the cake. Oh yeah I also surprised Lee by getting the windows tinted on the F-250 for his anniversary gift. I drove the pickup to work that morning. Of course he called asking why I drove it, I told him I had to pickup his large gift. Then later that morning he called me back & asked "So who is tinting the windows" I of course acted like I didn't know what he was talking about. I was a little disappointed that he figured it out. I can't every surprise him!! I received flowers from him that afternoon for our anniversary.
This weekend I finished up with my canning as I mentioned in the first paragraph. Lee cleaned the basement while I cleaned the upstairs. We went to Menards to get some gutter covers & slege hammer. When we got back we cleaned out the gutters & decided that we would just continue to clean out the gutters twice a year instead of putting the covers on. The ones we bought wouldn't be to easy to take off & clean if need be. We'll have to keep our eye open for a better design & maybe ask around how people like them that have them. I made chicken noodle soup for supper & made strawberry cheesecake. We watched National Treasure II that evening. I fell asleep by 10pm once again!! I try to stay up later on weekends but just can't do it! Today we plan on breaking some concrete to replace with pavers & wash some vehicles. Sounds exciting!?!?!
