Major Changes

I know I know its been a long time since I've updated this. I'm sure a lot of you have given up on checking to see if I updated it so if you have you'll be pleasantly surprised to see I have added stuff to it!

First of all if you haven't heard - Lee & I are expecting our first baby on Sept. 12th. Of course it probably won't be on that exact day... We are NOT going to be finding out the sex of the baby.

Second I have taken a job at Dakota Gasification Co. (DGC) in Beulah as a Hardware Maintenance Assistant. So I have been staying with my parents during the week & going back to Bismarck on the weekends. This will continue til we sell the house. Then Lee will move to Beulah & find a job HOPEFULLY!! It was a hard decision to make. My job title at HDQ was still helpdesk, but I was currently cross training in the hardware department. I talked to my supervisor to see if there would be a chance for me to stay in the hardware dept. She said she does not see any openings within the next 3 years for that position. I then pretty much left the decision up to Lee. We decided we would like to raise our kids in a small town just like we were. So we decided it would be best for me to take the job offer. It has been a little hard but things are going well.

Third bit of news is we SOLD the house! We had switched realtors on April 1st. But the people who are buying the house had looked at the house prior to that date. So our new realtor really didn't do much to sell the house. Although our old realtor from what we have been finding out hadn't been doing much either. Our new realtor stated that when she put the house on the market under her she received 14-18 calls from realtors asking about the house. You have to wonder why they didn't know it was listed prior.... Kind of makes Lee & I a little upset. So anyway - the buyers of our house are paying cash for it. Its a grandma buying it for her granddaughter. We close on April 30th. They want to have a home inspection & radon test done. I'm a little concerned about the radon test, but we'll see what happens. We had a few counters back & forth with the buyer but came to an agreement with 20 hours of the initial offer. We even had someone show our house before we seen the offer, the lady liked the house but wanted her fiance to see it. So they had an appointment for the next day if we hadn't accepted the original offer. But we had so they didn't get to come & look at it again. Kind of makes us wonder if we would have had a bidding war???

So now we have to find a house in Beulah. In May we are planning on staying at Lee's parents house since they will be living out at the lake. Then in June we are going to live in one of my parents rentals til we find a place or build a place. There is a job opening at RDO which Lee is going to apply for & HOPEFULLY get!! Keep your fingers crossed!

So that is about all. I think!!! Sorry no pictures I do have some I've taken of all the birds in our yard eating the old apples from the tree & of Lee blowing snow from the big snow storm we had. But the pictures are in Bismarck & I'm in Beulah so kind of hard to get them now.....
