Pregnancy Update
Most of you probably don't know this but on Sunday night I had to spend the night in the hospital. It all started Saturday night. I was having lower back & lower abdomen pain that would come & go. I figured by Sunday it should be gone. But it wasn't, so I called the OB line with St. A's & they told me to take some tylenol & a warm bath. So I did, the bath felt good but the tylenol didn't seem to be helping much. We went fishing that day & when we got back that evening I was still having the same pains so called the OB line again. The nurse thought maybe I had a Urinary tract infection. So she told me to go to the Hazen hospital to have them do a test. So we went over there to find out I didn't have an infection but did determine the pain was only on my right side so the doctor thought maybe it was my appendix, I also had a 100 degree fever. He sent us to Bismarck. We got to Bismarck around 10:30pm, they checked my urine again & did blood work. My fever was down to 99.4 but the blood work showed I was on the high end of normal for my white blood cell count. They monitored my uterus for contractions which they were seeing some activity. So they gave me a pill to stop the contractions, which makes you jittery & your heart feel likes it pumping extra hard. The pain got a little better but it was still there just not as often. So on Monday they did an ultrasound to make sure the baby was ok & see if they could see anything. They discharged me shortly after that giving me a prescription for pills to stop contractions & pain. On our way home my doctor called & said she got the ultrasound results back, looks like I have a fibroid. She said it doesn't look like it will affect the baby at all but I could have pain for the rest of my pregnancy. Wonderful!! I had taken one pain pill which made me feel better. I could have taken another one later that evening but decided to deal with the pain & not take the pill if I didn't have to. Tuesday morning when I got up I was feeling better than Monday but still not great. So I didn't go into work that day. By Tuesday evening I was feeling even better so went to work Wed. by Thurs. I was feeling pretty much back to normal & haven't taken any pain pills since that first one. I have a doctor's appointment on Tuesday so we'll see what she says then....
