Happy Birthday Rhyse!!

Our little man is 1 year old today!  I can not believe one year has gone by.  Hmmm, what was I doing at this time last year???  I do know the weather was a lot nicer last year.  Time really does go a lot faster once you have kids.  They make us grow older faster!  It has been a great & fun year & can't wait for many more.  Happy Birthday Rhyse.....

Rhyse can clap his hands together, play peek a boo, blow kisses & do high-5.  He caught onto the blowing kisses thing really fast.  I only showed him a few times how to do it.  He still doesn't wave bye-bye.  How hard can it be?!?!  He still only says dada, mama, baba.  He doesn't say dada as much anymore.  Now its mostly mama. 

Rhyse & my mom were suppose to go with me to Bismarck last Friday but Rhyse had other plans.  Thursday when I picked him up from daycare he was very cuddly.  Usually when I'm talking to Michelle he wants down & doesn't to be held, but that day he had his head on my shoulder.  I took him home & he played until we went to my parents house.  He was sitting on my dad's lap & didn't really want to play.  My dad said I think he doesn't feel well.  We left & stopped to get some supper then when we got home I took his temp & it was 102.8.  He was eating fine, didn't have a snotty nose, didn't have a rash, didn't have diahrea so I had no idea what was wrong.  Thought maybe his teeth.  I called the ER (since there is no walk in clinic at night) to see if they thought I should bring him in & they said yes.  So I took him over there.  I had given him tylenol before we left so when we got there & they took his temp it was 101 then a little while later they checked again & it was 99.  The doctor looked him over & said his throat looked a little red so said he would check him for strep, if that came back negative then they will do blood work to see what his wbc were doing.  After they did the swab.  We were waiting for the results, he fell asleep. The nurse came in & took his temp again & it was 102 again.  Shortly after that the doctor came in & said the test was positive for strep.  So they put him on Amoxicillian.  I think the doctor was surprised it was positive.  So Friday my mom stayed home with Rhyse while I went to Bismarck & got stuff done.  Now it looks like he may be getting a cold & possibly a cough.  He is suppose to have his 1 year check up today with shots but I'm going to reschedule it for next week.  I don't feel comfortable with him taking antibiotics & not feeling well plus then getting vaccine's on top of it.  If he has a cough yet today I'll keep his appointment & take him in for that.  Hopefully we can get him back to himself by Saturday for his party.
