June 6-8

Friday night Lee & I didn't do much. I made supper then we drove out to Little Heart & Sugar Loaf to see if there would be anywhere to camp on Saturday. There were a lot of spots open. The road at Little Heart was terrible. Don't know why they don't put gravel down & work on that road??

Saturday Lee got up to go to work until noon. I crawled out of bed around 9:00am & cleaned the house then packed for camping. DeDe had asked us to come out & help with the sprinklers but Lee wanted to camp. When Lee got home I went to the grocery store while he got the camper ready. When I got home we ate lunch & finished packing. We headed out we tried Sugar Loaf first, to find someone fishing in the spot we wanted. We headed back to Little Heart & found people were either fishing or camping in all the spots but one! We got lucky. I had call Morton County Sheriff before we left to see if there was a fire ban, she said no except by the river. Don't know how that makes any sense?? We unpacked or stuff, then I tried to fish. It was pretty windy & cool. So I gave up & hung out in the camper out of the wind. Made supper, after supper we played some lawn darts (the kind that they don't sell anymore). Then we decided to try fishing again. The wind had died down around 8pm. We caught 2 walleye & 2 carp.

When it got dark we filleted the fish then sat outside for a little bit. We went inside & watched tv. I finally went to bed.

Sunday we got up around 9:30am & threw the rods in. Lee caught a walleye & I caught a carp. We had to quit fishing cuz we ran out of worms. Stupid fish would somehow get the worms off the hook without pulling to hard on the line. So we went through quite a few worms that way! We were in no hurry to leave. Lee & Missy were down fishing in their boat so they stopped by to chat with us. After they left we ate lunch, as we were eating lunch Lee seen a Seagull trying to steal our walleye. Lee ran out there & found the bird had got caught in the line of one of the rods. Here are a few pictures of Lee helping the bird.

After that fiasco Lee filleted the fish then we packed up our stuff to head back home. When we got home I mowed the lawn, Lee put the camping stuff away. Then I took a small nap & Lee washed the pickup. At 6pm we are to meet Randy, Mandy, Scott & Jenny to go down to the Casino for supper for Many's b-day.
